JHL Solitaire Hotel:
First Five-Stars Hotel in Banten
Exhibition Context at Jakarta Architecture Festival 2025
JHL Solitaire redefines the urban skyline of Gading Serpong as Banten’s first five-star hotel. Rising 15 stories with 143 rooms, its ovoidal form creates distinct spatial experiences that differ in each unit. Positioned at a major intersection, the building’s sculptural silhouette enhances the city’s visual identity while offering generous setbacks and green frontage that improve the pedestrian realm.
The architecture establishes a dialogue between the dynamic ovoidal tower and its neutral base, where layered façades function as both shading and maintenance access — merging expression and practicality. From the guest rooms to the panoramic top-floor ballroom, JHL Solitaire embodies a continuous relationship between city, form, and experience.
