Previously, the office complex faced frequent flooding, especially in the lowest parking levels, due to its lower elevation compared to the surroundings. Heavy rainfall would cause water to accumulate, exacerbated by the impermeable concrete surface that prevented natural stormwater infiltration. Simply diverting water to public drainage was not a viable long-term solution.
In response, the design approach focused on working with nature rather than against it. Through a series of collaborative workshops with stakeholders, the project embraced strategies that prioritized water collection, reuse, and infiltration. By integrating sustainable landscape interventions, the site is now flood-free, even during heavy rainfall, while surrounding areas continue to experience high water levels.
