The design concept of this playground aims to optimize the existing narrow space without the need to cut down a single tree, offering a more challenging play environment. The constraints imposed by the limited space guided the selection and placement of play equipment to ensure a smooth playing flow, with each piece serving multiple characteristics for children to explore. Throughout the design, efforts have been made to integrate the existing trees seamlessly into the overall aesthetic, reinforcing the connection with the natural surroundings. In the development phase, collaborative efforts with other consultants were integral to ensuring all facilities' proper functioning and safety.
The overarching theme of the playground is the Indonesia Tropical Forest, with the mature existing trees playing a vital role in creating a distinct sense of place. The main attraction comprises Orang Utan houses, which resemble tree houses equipped with climbing structures and hanging bridges to accommodate various play types. The high cone tower adds a steady challenge, allowing children to experience the sensation of being in a high place and engage in imaginative play. Box-shaped equipment presents a particularly exploratory play opportunity due to its narrow interior space, yet it cleverly connects all the rooms. Adjacent to the box's exit, a tunnel under the mounding provides an element of surprise in the play experience. To cater to more relaxing play activities, designated areas at both ends of the playground offer seating and essential amenities. The Onion House and Hanging Porch are ideal equipment for less physical activities.
