Two PDW projects nominated for IAI Banten Awards 2025

Episode Hotel and Dewa United Basecamp, have been nominated for IAI Banten Awards 2025, respectively in the Commercial Building and Public Building categories.

IAI Banten Awards 2025 was held on 9 November 2025 at ICE BSD City, as part of IndoBuildTech 2025 Part 2. The event provided a moment to reflect on the architectural journey in Banten, tracing how ideas, context, and time intertwine to shape the face of architecture today. It serves as a celebration to remember the past, appreciate the present, and look toward the future of Banten’s architecture with awareness of time that continues to move.

Through the theme “Menapak Waktu”, the awards highlighted works that stand not only as buildings, but as narratives shaped by use, change, and everyday life.

In this spirit, both PDW projects interpret Menapak Waktu through practical responsiveness, designing environments that function well today and are shaped with the future in mind.

Episode Hotel Gading Serpong

Located in a fast-growing urban district, Episode Hotel Gading Serpong emphasizes efficiency, modularity, and durability. As a modern four-star hotel, its architecture focuses on timelessness, elegance, and clean simplicity. The modular system supports ease of construction and long-term maintenance, ensuring the building maintains an elegant presence within the evolving cityscape.

Dewa United Basecamp

Meanwhile, Dewa United Basecamp approaches sports architecture through passive design for tropical climates. Natural ventilation, daylight, and shaded circulation form the basis of comfort and energy performance. Dormitories, training areas, dining spaces, and social zones are arranged in close proximity, encouraging interaction and daily rhythm within the club. The result is a functional, community-supporting environment built around continuity of routine and purpose.

Through these two works, PDW interprets Menapak Waktu as continuity. Architecture that remains relevant through its functionality, adaptability, and responsiveness to changing needs.

The nominations reflect not only a recognition of design quality but also PDW’s commitment to creating spaces that support people, communities, and cities over time.

Beyond Building, designing for what continues.
